J.R. Schmidt

Thomas Crowther is a scientist specializing in global ecosystem ecology and founder of Crowther Lab. He aspires to address the global crises of biodiversity loss and climate change through a deeper understanding ecological systems. In his TED Talk for TED Countdown, he introduces Restor, an expansive, informative platform built to enable anyone, anywhere, to help restore the biodiversity of Earth’s ecosystems. With the Google Creative Lab, I created the graphics and visualizations used in his talk which help to illustrate his important message and make it resonate as broadly as possible with non-scientists.
